Hello blogging world! Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would ever start a blog. With that said, my disclaimer is: I'm not sure how it is going to go or how long it will last, but it's worth a try right?
I am writing this blog for a few different reasons. My five year old son was recently diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (O.D.D.) and yes it is odd! With this new medical mystery invading our daily lives, I feel it is important to do research, and lots of it! My husband and I need to understand the WHY's of this diagnosis to gain a better understanding of this ailment and the wrath it is wreaking on our son, our family, and those around us. I hope this blog reaches others who may be living a similar situation and I hope family and friends will read this blog to get a better understanding of our life and realize why our son says and does the things he does. He isn't just a "brat" kid as he has been labeled. He has a medical condition in which I hope to improve dramatically through research, but most of all,through the unconditional love I have for him!
You and your family have the love, courage and strength to get through anything. This is what makes your son different. He will be helped by people that care..and not just by the ones that live in his house, by ones that know and love him all over the world. xxx

ReplyDeleteHe is far from a "brat" ~ he is so sweet and strong and sometimes going through all that he has in his little life can be scary and overwhelming. You're doing a great job being an amazing mommy!! Keep up the good work!!!!! :)
